I Just found a beautiful verse This is for you.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God
When you are sad, God is your comfort.
When you are weak, God is your strength.
When you cry, God will wipe away your tears.
When you can t go on, God will carry you
You are not overlooked, not forgotten, and not alone.
THANKS & NEWS
The church painting is now completed and it looks great! Thank you to everyone who contributed towards this. Daphne has been hard at work trimming the long hedge down the edge of the church. This is a massive job and we are very thankful to her for helping to keep the church grounds looking so tidy. Dave has kept the roses, trees and bedding flowers watered, so it all looks very nice out the back of the church. Thank you very much!
We are holding a thanksgiving and dedication for Anne in the rose garden which has been created in her memory. Some of her family are coming down and it would be lovely to see all who remember Anne come along on what would have been the eve of her 94th birthday.
Denise and Mandy have kept the Friendship Coffee & Chat going throughout August and it is great to see people coming along. We really appreciate others who have stepped in to help out when Denise was away, thank you Eve and Tanya. Of course we mustn t forget Judith and Gloria our Tuesday gang that help every week! Thank you to all who bring donations of cakes for us all to enjoy, you are soooo generous.
We were able to donate the 42.65 to Elsie s Steps. We collected this at our Summer Party at the beginning of July and we do thank especially Tom and John for coming and entertaining us. It was a great sing along and fun morning. This week s coffee morning money 36 was given to Maggie who is raising money for breast cancer. In September we will be holding our Macmillan coffee morning also.
During the summer holidays the wooden floors have been scraped and sanded to remove the old varnish. This proved to be a massive and expensive job, but the feedback we have received so far has all been positive. To be fair it doesn t look great but it was the best we could achieve. The church has to say a huge thank you to Allan Gray for undertaking this work.

Prayers
Dear Lord, at the start of this new academic year we pray for schools, pupils and teachers, asking for Your protection, provision and peace. We especially pray for those just starting their journey in education and those going on to College or University. These can be huge steps for some, we pray for Your love, wisdom and grace for all such.
Harvest Prayer God you are at the centre of creation. Hear our prayer of thankfulness for the gift of land and the richness and diversity of creation. You bring us into partnership to work within creation and, through the efforts of the farmer and grower, bring forth fruitfulness and food from the land. At this time of Harvest hear our prayer for the agricultural community, for all who bring us the produce for our wellbeing and all who work to maintain the beauty of the countryside. These prayers and thanksgivings we offer to you. God of Creation and Fruitfulness. Amen.
Please remember all those in need of our prayers especially those who are grieving. We continue to remember people who have recently lost loved ones. Please pray for one another, for those who come to Coffee & Chat, many of whom have concerns for themselves or others in their families. We keep in our prayers Pat Maholland who is now home after breaking her hip, Carol Wright who is still in great pain, Sheila Want, she has recently been into hospital after falling over. Judy Root who is finding she needs more help, Val, Brenda, Erica, Margaret, Doreen, Barbara, and Iris. God Bless them all.
Just rest with quiet patience and seek the Lord in prayer and place yourself completely in His ever-loving care. Then do not fret or worry, God will take good care of you. For He s the Great Physician and there s nothing He can t do.
