FORWARD NOTICE
We look forward to once again honouring all who have served this Country.
Sunday 8th REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY at the Village Hall 10.45am
BIG THANK YOU S
As I often say we are very blessed to have so many people support us at the church.
Recently we held a MacMillan Coffee Morning, which Mandy Bugg always organises for us, She and Denise work very hard to make it a fun but profitable morning. This year we were overwhelmed by how much we made 350.51 Thank you all so much for making cakes, and taking part in and providing all the fun games going around the tables. Some of the money raised came from Mandy s daughter who took the left over cakes to work and sold them. She made over 32.00 from her colleagues. Thank you very much to all the Brilliant Kitchen Staff you know who you are and we really appreciate you getting stuck in to help.
BRENDA
Thank you to all who came to pay tribute to Brenda and gather together in her memory. It was a truly wonderful service and we thank Rev. Malcolm for leading this Thanksgiving & Memorial service.
I must also pass on Brenda s daughters thanks and praise for making her mum s Thanksgiving Service so meaningful and honouring. The whole family were delighted and thanked everyone for coming and sharing with them this tribute to a very special lady. They particularly asked me to thank Denise and Dave who worked so hard in the kitchen looking after everyone.
HARVEST GIFTS
I have been asked to say a Huge thank you from HomeStart who came and collected all the wonderful gifts you gave to help needy families in our locality. Janet wanted me to say how overwhelmed they are by your generosity. When it was all packed up we had boxes full of fresh fruit and vegetables and I think 6 bags full of groceries. Thank you ALL
OUR MONETARY GIFT
The money taken at our two Harvest services is going to be given to the Farming Community Network who work with farmers that are going through difficult times. A cheque for 150 will be sent to them as soon as possible.
All has been safely gathered in after an incredibly hot and punishing summer, not least for our crops. What a wonderful Harvest display we had again this year, we are so blessed by God to live in a village that is generous with their giving and time. If you were unable to come to our Harvest services and see the magnificent display, Julia did take some photos. We have many people to say thank you to. Denise, Dave & Eve who looked after everyone who came to Breakfast. Julia had to run down the shop to buy more rolls and pancakes. It was great to see so many new families come. Carol Hutchings led our Morning Harvest Praise Service and got everyone using their brains to work out the answers to her visual aids. It was great fun singing the Harvest songs i.e. Cauliflowers fluffy and the Custard Cream song. Thank you Carol, Samantha and Emily for your help.
In the evening we had Rev. Malcolm Boulter and although small in number we had a wonderful time of praise, singing some great Harvest Hymns finishing the service by sharing the Harvest loaf with cheese and pickles.
Thank you Gloria, Ann and Louise for
coming to help me collate and pack up all the goods to be taken by HomeStart.
What a wonderful 4 days of activity.

Our Thoughts, Prayers & Praises
Lord, may Your Name be glorified and revered. May the people in this Community lift up the Name that is above all other names and honour and respect you Name. May You be worshipped and adored in this community.
We give you thanks Lord, for all Your goodness.- . Blessed be the Name of the Lord
We pray for those who will receive our harvest gifts through HomeStart.
May they find help and support.
We pray also for the harvest money collected together, although it may be small we ask that the Lord will help bring relief to farmers who desperately need it.
We pray especially for Karen and Paul, Brenda s daughter and son and all their families. It has been a difficult time for them
Please pray for Judy, David has been taken back into hospital and is under investigations. Please especially pray for Judy and Susan who are trying to juggle every situation and visit David
There are so many in need of our prayers at this time. Terry in hospital, Bob in hospital, Hannah in hospital.
Please Keep in your prayers friends we are praying for... Denise, Chris, Terry s family, Miffy, Margaret & Brian, Val and Geoff, Iris, Shelia, Erica.
Since my last Newsletter I have caught up on my visiting. I have seen Shelia, she misses her home but it being well cared for. Also Val looked very well and was interested in all that has been happening at the church. I have seen Margaret a couple of times which is always nice. Brian is usually visiting at the same time and so we are able to chat and try to keep Margaret engaged in different subjects. This is not always possible. On one occasion when I was visiting Brian read Margaret two or three poems which she enjoyed listening to. Please keep all these dear ones in your thoughts and prayers.
