Don t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

THANKS & NEWS

The church held its Annual General Meeting at the beginning of October, thank you to those who came along or sent apologies. We were very few but we do appreciate the support to help keep the church open for the community. The church and halls have had a busy year of activities and it is only as you look back on everything that goes on here we have to give thanks firstly to God and to all who make this a place for people to gather together spiritually and socially. So a big thank you to all group leaders and others that support them. All these activities don t just happen there is a lot of work and preparation to be done before any meeting takes place. But thank you to those who help in any way with refreshments, donating biscuits, cakes for coffee mornings, gardening, repairing, maintenance, cleaning, tidying ..the list could go on and on. You are doing a grand job! We would love to see more come on a Sunday evening to support our services and all the speakers who come for so very few. God is good and help us keep the doors open but we would like to see more people support us from the village.

We had an update on Erica who used to go around the village picking up rubbish. She is now in a Care home in Kent and has settled in well and is making herself useful helping the other residents and working in the garden. She looked extremely well in the photos I was shown.

Please remember little Val in your prayers, she is currently in Broomfield hospital after suffering a fall, which has now been diagnosed as a Stroke. Geoff is visiting her daily and keeps me updated. I am hoping to try and visit her next week, Geoff thinks she is going to be there for some time yet. Please keep them both and their two sons in your prayers.

Remembrance Sunday will soon be with us and Sandra Wilson has been very busy knitting some extra large poppies to display outside the front this year. Also Andrew Bugg has generously made us a Tommy to stand proudly outside the front of the church. Thank you both very much. Also Dan Sutton has worked tirelessly putting together the theme for this years Remembrance Service, he has produced some great posters to remind people about the service which takes place in the village hall on 9th November at 10.45am. Please come and show your support for these wonderful courageous men and women who fought and died for this country and those who are still living with serious injuries. We must never forget! They will not grow old as we grow old, age shall not weary them, nor the year s condemn. At the going down of the sun we will remember them!

For those who knew Daphne Game, she had recently moved to a bungalow in Magdalene Crescent but previously lived just along from the church. She died suddenly, which is very sad as she had just settled so well in her new home. Her funeral is at Three Counties on 21st November at 11.30. Anita her daughter invites all who would like to attend and said there is no dress code, just come as you feel comfortable. Daphne was a Brownie leader here at the church for many years.

Tues 25th It is that time again when we would like your assistance to decorate the church Christmas tree. It is usually a nice morning and maybe we should start early with seasonal refreshments. Just an idea, Denise & Mandy hee hee

PRAYER

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 (NLT)

We pray for this Country, our Government, and Parliament. We pray for honesty and integrity.

Thank You, Lord, for every opportunity to pray together in church, at home, online through prayer diaries. Encourage Christians to intercede for their own ministries and for those in need. Please help us to pray effectively in the power of Your Spirit. Amen

Please pray for our unstable world. We give thanks for the freedom we still have in this Country although it feels like this is being taken away gradually. We pray especially for those who live in fear and persecution and discrimination across 50 countries, especially Africa and Asia. Please watch over them and help them persevere as powerful witnesses for Jesus. In His name. Amen

Remembrance Sunday Lord, we honour those who died during world wars and other conflicts. Please comfort those who mourn, and grant peace and healing to all who have been wounded in body, mind, soul and spirit. Thank you for the sacrifice that so many have made, and help us to remember them. In Jesus name. Amen

Lord Jesus, we intercede for people who are experiencing health problems, financial challenges, and other anxieties. Please inspire them to turn to You in faith amid their trials, to find strength through Your gracious intervention, and to respond with thanksgiving to You. In Your mercy. Amen

Please keep in your prayers all from this fellowship and beyond who are known to You and who are needing prayers of hope, and healing in their struggles .with pain, illness, mobility, and grief. We remember Val, Geoff, Tom, Charlotte, Anita & family, Brenda, Shelia, Doreen, Judy & David, Ray, Iris, Erica, Margaret, Barbara, Jacob, Terry ..We lift them all into the Lord Care
