This is how God showed his love among us; He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4:9
Doreen Williams 1931-2026
A wonderful lady and a dear friend to me and this fellowship. Doreen was widely known in this village, living and working here, even when she became housebound she waved everyday to passersby and especially the school children on their way home from school. Doreen served the Lord here at the church for most of her long life. Doreen was a stalwart of this fellowship, someone you could always rely on and who would support everything that the fellowship was involved in. Doreen always did things in a very efficient and quiet way, never taking the limelight, but someone who was always there she was very much missed when she could no longer attend the church after she became housebound. Although this was the case Doreen was still very supportive of the church financially and she was my listening ear especially after Anne Smith died, I could share and discuss things with Doreen and she was always very practical and wise. Anne and Doreen were the backbone of this fellowship and Doreen died exactly 2 years to the day of Anne. We will all have our own special memories of Doreen, she was a great friend and neighbour to many.
Pat Maholland
It is with great sadness that I share that Pat died on Saturday 21st February. We found out that she had come out of hospital and into a Care Home in Halstead. Fortunately a couple of people managed to visit her and we sent a card from us all. Pat was a good friend to this fellowship and very supportive when she was fit and able. Pat was always interested in people and able to talk to folk. She was kind and helpful and took people under her wing in a quiet helpful way. We will miss you Pat and thank you for your friendship and support.
Update on other dear friends. Val Sims spent a couple of weeks back in hospital but is now back in the Care Home and is comfortable and well cared for. I hope to see her this coming week. Brenda has also been in hospital with nosebleeds, but now back home. Margaret is also being well cared for in St. Georges at Witham, they are trying to sort out a chair for her, so she can come out of her bed for a few hours. I also hope to see her this coming week. Carol has had her operation but is still in some pain, I understand.

THANKSGIVING AND MEMORY TREE
Please share your memories and thanks for this village. The tree at the back of the church is now in place and ready for all the wonderful memories people would like to share in this centenary year. You can do more than one card.
Thank you: Just to say thank you for those who came to the church meeting last month, This fellowship depends on those who support us. Also thanks to Mandy for 2 fantastic quizzes and for the fun we had tossing Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all
without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5
Father God we thank you for this fellowship. We thank you for our building, which is warm and welcoming. Thank you that we can meet together to worship and praise You. What a privilege that is because Jesus has redeemed us. Lord please bless this village as we celebrate this special year and help your church to welcome all the new people coming to live here.
We pray for all who are grieving, especially Doreen s family and friends and also our dear friend Pat s family. May they know a special touch of comfort and peace from God as they go through difficult days ahead.
We also lift before God those who continue to struggle and need our love, help and encouragements. We think of Brenda, Val & Geoff, Judy & David, Margaret & Brian, Shelia, Iris, Carol. We miss them being able to be part of our fellowship. May the Lord bless and help each one.
We especially pray today for the instability of our World. We now have more conflict going on in the Middle East. with Iran, Israel and America and many other countries being caught up and drawn in to this situation. It is so complex and frightening, we pray for all.
There is so much to pray about. The continuing war in Ukraine and Russia, the persecution of Christians throughout many countries in this world especially in Nigeria. These problems are vast and we must not forget to pray for all. We pray for solutions to be found and a peaceful end.
Pray for our own Government and all in Parliament in these very troubling times abroad and in our own Country where so many people feel forgotten.
Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:
Love your neighbour as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39
