Matthew 5:43-45 - Verse to think about!

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

CAFÉ CHURCH ‘Church but not as you know it’ 12th March @ 5pm-6pm

This is something totally new for us, we would value your support and interest. This will be held in the church hall in a relaxed atmosphere. The ‘Café’ will be for about an hour and very informal and social, but with a Christian theme running throughout the evening. We are hoping this will be inclusive to everyone and you find it enjoyable. Please pray about this special evening and the future of this church.

Suggested Prayers

You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

Lord our Saviour, thank You that by Your death and resurrection we are reconciled with God, receiving His total forgiveness and loving grace. Strengthen us to serve You all our days. Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, as we prepare our hearts for Easter and reflect on our need for Your never-ending forgiveness and grace, please help us to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before You. May we speak and live in ways that honour the poor and encourage all who follow in Your ways. Amen.

We give You thanks for all Mothers, Foster Mothers, Step Mothers Grandmothers. We ask God to strengthen and encourage every woman who has a mothering role, whether to her own children and grandchildren or to others who need her care,

We remember those in the fellowship that are feeling unwell at the moment, those who have worrying problems and hospital visits. We would also remember and pray for folk known to us in and around the village that are going through difficult days. We pray especially for Gerald and Mark as they grieve for Janet, wife and mother. May they know the presence of God with them. Remember Pam, the sudden loss of her brother Fred, this week. A dear Father, Brother, Uncle. and friend to many in the village. May they know comfort and peace and the presence of God with them.

Thank God that in recent years, churches throughout Wales and England have been providing effective and compassionate support to people in their local communities. Pray that this practical Christianity, hand in hand with evangelism and discipleship will result in many people being open to the gospel and accepting Christ into their lives.

We give God thanks for the wonderful fellowship and blessing we all felt at our joint service with St. Francis and St,. Mary’s, Rivenhall. Everyone went home feeling uplifted spiritually.

We thank God for the exciting new venture we have planned on 12th March. We would ask for your prayers for this all age family celebration.
