THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH
The LORD reigns, He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established firm and secure. Your throne was established long ago; You are from all eternity. The seas have lifted up, Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. Mightier than thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea – the Lord on high is mighty. Psalm 93:1-4

Suggested Prayers
‘Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead expose them…Make the most of every opportunity…Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.’
Ephesians 5:10-17 (New Living Translation)
25th May – 4th June ‘Thy Kingdom come’
The Archbishop of Canterbury is inviting Christians around the world to pray between Ascension Day and Pentecost, for people to know Jesus Christ. (thykingdom.co.uk)
‘To what greater inspiration and counsel can we turn than to the imperishable truth to be found in this treasure house, the Bible?’ (Queen Elizabeth II)
We pray for this Country on the 8th June as people will go to polling stations throughout the United Kingdom. We pray for all who will be elected to serve this Country. We pray that they will hold their office with honesty and integrity and serve their constituents. We pray especially for the Prime Minister and pray that whoever is chosen that You will guide and direct them in their leadership. We know that we are going to go through a difficult time. Please give them your great wisdom.
Please remember all who are grieving, we especially pray for Kerry’s husband and children. There are others too who are going through very dark days, we pray that God might lighten their path and bring healing of body, spirit and mind.
We pray for our village, we ask you Lord to bless it through Your Holy Spirit working Your purposes out. Please bring Christians to come and live and work for You here. We especially pray for all the churches in the village, help us to work together. May we show Your love to all we meet.
Pray for all who were injured and lost love ones in the Manchester bombing. Please draw close to all who are suffering Lord and give them comfort and rest.
We would remember persecuted Christians throughout the World; we just take it for granted that we can go to church and worship. We pray for the Middle East especially those Coptic Christians murdered by IS in Egypt.
