LOOKING AHEAD AUGUST
August is traditionally our holiday month. There are a few changes to our schedule.
The first Sunday August 3rd is the church s Quiet Day NO EVENING SERVICE. We will spend time during the day, praying and asking God for guidance for this fellowship, this village, and ourselves. We will Be Still and
listening as we seek to keep our church doors open. Praying especially for Christians to move into this village and find this church to extend His Kingdom.
Coffee and Chat during August, will be closing the doors a little earlier it will be from 10.00 - 11.30 during August. We do thank Denise and Mandy especially for keeping this going throughout the holiday period.
A Thought for July/ August
GOD IS WITH YOU.
Hey may you feel the warmth
Of God s love today May He Strengthen
you and give you the courage
To keep walking the path.
He has set out for you. May He
Give you peace. May you feel His
protection, knowing that He
watches over your coming and
going, both now and forevermore.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
THANKS & NEWS
The church painting is almost complete and we are very pleased with the outcome. It was a big job especially at the back of the church that hasn t been touched for a lot of years. Please do go and take a look.
Also the Guides have been tidying their garden area up and making it all look very colourful. Thank you girls! So if you have never been around the back of the church please do go and see. Another thing to see is Anne s Rose garden it is beginning to bloom and the roses are such vibrant colours. Thank you Dave for watering the roses. Thank you Gloria for watering Roy s pot out the front of the church.
Thank you to all who contribute to the cakes and biscuits at Tuesday s Coffee & Chat, we really appreciate everything that is brought in for us all to enjoy.
Thank you also for everyone who helps on a regular basis like Judith, Gloria and those who pitch in with the washing up and collecting the dirties etc Thank you Jenny for always taking the T Towels home to be washed.

Prayers
We give God all the thanks and praise for his mercies shown to us. The encouragements, and answers to prayer. Our Lord is very gracious, so be thankful, count your blessings and trust Him for what lies ahead.
We pray for all the young people coming towards the end of another academic year. We pray for those leaving schools to go to new ones or to college, University or simply be just changing classes. For some children this will be no problem, but for others this is a major step into the unknown and can be deeply unsettling and scary. We do pray for all our young people especially those in this village and our own families. We remember too all the teaching staff and all those that work in our schools. We pray for the work of EMPOWER who work in our local school doing some amazing work.
We pray for this village for its people from the oldest to the youngest. For the amenities we are so fortunate to have in Silver End. We especially pray for all Christians who live in Silver End and for our places of Worship. Please God send Your Holy Spirit upon us, fill us with Your Love and Power, so that we may faithfully serve You here or wherever we go.
Please remember all those in need of our prayers especially those who are grieving. We continue to remember those who have recently lost loved ones. Please pray for one another, for those who come to coffee and chat, many of whom have concerns for themselves or others in their families. We keep in our prayers Mandy, Val, Brenda, Erica, Margaret, Shelia, Doreen, Judy & David, Barbara, and Iris.
Lord guide me through this Month with Your wisdom. Help me to make wise choices in every decision I face. Lead me with Your love, so that my actions reflect Your grace and kindness in all that I do. Amen
