Just a reminder to everyone about the friendly group who meet on Wednesday mornings. These sessions are very interesting and unstuffy. You do not need to know your Bible you can come and find out and ask questions. Malcolm has just started a new topic. We are looking at the 4 Gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Finding out who these men were, who the Gospels were written for and why, looking at the differences in the 4 Gospels and most of all how they teach us, inspire us and show us the person of Jesus and His saving grace for each one of us.

Suggested Prayers

‘The plans of the LORD stand firm for ever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance. From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth.’                     Psalm 33: 11-14

‘When living through an era of rough seas it is not a time for safe hands and faint hearts…It’s a time for courage and adventure, and living as the people we really are. The days of rough seas are exciting. We should not be intimidated. Praise God for the responsibility of living in these times.’ (Archbishop Justin Welby)

As we perhaps worry about things like the new American President, Donald Trump or what effect Brexit will have. We give our concerns to God because we know that He holds the future, not only in our personal lives, but in this whole World. Thank God!

The Lord knows those who need that special touch from Him. We can lift their names to Him with assurance that He hears our prayers and answers them. Please pray for the people known to this fellowship. We would especially pray for those with age related illnesses, who are finding life very hard. We remember Brenda and keep in our prayers, Mary Gardiner and Family and David and Tim Gilvray and family.

Let us pray expectantly for this village and fellowship. We know that God holds the future and He will guide us with His hand. So we look to Him  as we step into 2017 and ask the Holy Spirit to infuse and renew our bodies and spirit.

We would ask for God’s guidance and wisdom over the church meeting on the 11th Feb.

We thank God for the exciting new venture we have planned on 12th March. We would ask for your prayers & ideas for this all age family celebration.

We thank God for all the speakers that come and lead our services. We are very blessed by their ministry and support.

‘Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counsellor, your friend, your redeemer, your saviour, your guide? If he is, you don’t need to search any further for security.’

Elisabeth Elliot 1926-2015, (pioneering missionary, writer and speaker)
