THANKS
November seemed to come and it has gone in flash! Every month is so busy but as always we couldn t do it without you all supporting the church as you do. Thank you
A massive thank you to the Rev. Malcolm Boulter and Dan Sutton and Dan s team for making the Remembrance Sunday Service, so memorable. The weather was kind to us on the Parade to the village hall. It is always an impressive sight to see our young people impeccably dressed and so well behaved at all times and their dedicated Leaders whom I m sure felt just as proud as I did. We thank Rev Malcolm for stepping in to cover Charles deLacy who was unable to come this year. Malcolm did us proud and you would think he had always led this very important service. Dan made some very interesting and challenging video s. They certainly make you realise the cost of war and how very thankful we should be and never, never forget. I would like to add a big thank you to the Guide and Scout Leaders for all you do encouraging the children week by week. We are very blessed in Silver End to have you. You all do a great job and it is appreciated.
A Little Thought!
We are entering a time called Advent it is a time of Waiting a time to Stop! Prepare ourselves and be ready to receive God s greatest gift to us. We live in a world where we want everything NOW! This INSTANT we and our children have lost the art of waiting. If we want something most of us are able to get it delivered to our door. December is now here, the pressures begin, but I hope you can find time to focus on what is important. LOVE (Jesus) came down at Christmas. We can all count our blessings and focus on the true meaning of Christmas and experience what is important Love, Joy and Peace. A Happy Christmas and a Blessed New Year to You All.
For God So Loved the World, that He gave His one and only Son -John3:16
Love came down at Christmas, love all lovely, Love divine.
Love was born at Christmas. Star and angels gave the sign
Worship we the Godhead, Love incarnate Love divine
Worship we our Jesus but wherewith for sacred sign?
Love shall be our token, Love be yours and love be mine
Love to God and all men, Love for plea and gift and sign.
Love came down at Christmas
By Christina Rosetti
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love - 1 John 4:8
We are so preciously loved by God. That we cannot even comprehend it. No created being can ever know how much and how sweetly and tenderly God loves them.

Prayer is our special time with God. It is a time when we can take time out of our busy lives, a time to shut out all of life s distractions, daily worries and business of the week.
To find a quiet space, to shut our eyes, shutting out distractions just for a few moments. To bring before God our thankfulness and our concerns, to be still .
Prayers to Consider
Lord God may we your people who look forward to the coming of Christ experience the joy of salvation and celebrate His coming with love and thanksgiving. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
We give You thanks for the opportunities we have to share the Love of Jesus this Christmastide as we celebrate His birth.
We remember in our prayers all who will be alone this Christmas, those in hospital, those on the streets, those grieving and will find Christmas a very difficult time.
We remember those who will be working over Christmas in hospitals, on farms with livestock, the emergency services on land, sea and air. Help us never to take things for granted and to be thankful for all our blessings.
We continue to pray for those who have been caught up by the floods in Spain. There is so much going on in our World. We especially would lift the war in Ukraine which affects us all and Israel and Gaza and all in the Middle East. We can see no end, just escalation, all we can do is pray that solutions will be found to stop the bloodshed.
Please pray for our Country, for our Government and Parliament. May God have mercy upon us.
Please pray for our dear friends that suffer from Dementia, we pray for those known to us and for those in our local care homes in the village. We pray for all Carers who work in the community and in Residential homes. We give thanks for them and the work they undertake.
Remember those from our fellowship and friends with special needs, Iris, Brenda, Doreen, Shelia, Judy, Val, Pat, Charles and Barbara. We lift them all to the Lord for His love, help and care.
Please pray for this fellowship. Pray that God will bring new opportunities to share the love of Jesus and bring people to the church. We pray for all the groups who use our building and ask a blessing on each one.
Heavenly Father, as a new year begins, please grant us the mercy and grace that we need for every single day.
