THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

He holds the future, who else are you going to trust? In His hands you are safe and secure, today, tomorrow and for eternity. His Word says, ‘For I know the plans I have for you…plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen.

Thanks! For making the CAFÉ CHURCH such a success

We give All Thanks and Praise to God for His Graciousness and Favour on the Café Church. We thank everyone for coming, it was great to see so many and would especially say a big thank you to ALL who helped with advertising, setting up, shopping, cake making, cooking fish fingers and soup, crafts and cleaning up afterwards‼. The whole evening had a great atmosphere a real buzz from young and old. It was great to see audience participation joining in with action songs, making an origami fish and a flapping fish race, We especially thank Malcolm and Pauline who worked very hard putting the evening together and making it a relevant message for all ages, thanks also to the ‘Singers’ who sang ‘Will your anchor hold’. We are planning another one in October, we are not sure of the theme yet. Watch this space‼!

Suggested Prayers

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

Lord our Saviour, thank You that by Your death and resurrection we are reconciled with God, receiving His total forgiveness and loving grace. Strengthen us to serve You all our days. Amen

Lord Jesus Christ, as we prepare our hearts for Easter and reflect on our need for Your never-ending forgiveness and grace, please help us to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before You. May we speak and live in ways that honour the poor and encourage all who follow in Your ways. Amen.

We pray for families. We give thanks for our families and remember there are many who experience bitterness, distance, grief, brokenness and money worries. God has intended us to be part of a family with all that life may bring. For those who are going through challenging times we offer our prayers.

Please continue to remember many friends and those from our community who need our prayers. Those who are grieving, or undergoing surgery, and upcoming hospital appointments. Remember too all who are struggling with frailties of body and mind.  We think of those that are in palliative care. We give thanks that Rose is now able to come to Sunday evening services and coffee & Chat. Please continue to pray that her legs might fully heal.

We give thanks for this village, for all the amenities we enjoy, our Clubs and Group Organisations, Churches, Shops, Library, Doctors, Takeaways,. We have so many blessings. We pray especially for its people, young and old alike, that they may come to know Jesus as their Saviour, and God as their Father. Help us in our small way to reach out and show His love to all.

Please remember David Ward our Area Worker, who finishes his time working with our churches at the end of April. He has encouraged us so much and we have enjoyed great fellowship with him. We pray that God will bless and guide him as he waits upon God, and for the plans he has for David. Please pray for the Area Churches also.

We pray for the millions of people in East Africa who face starvation, they are in great need. We pray that relief may soon arrive for these people. We pray for all those who are involved in bringing that relief, helping with donations of money, food, water and medical treatment.
