Suggested Prayers

‘Christ Jesus, our Saviour….broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News…I know the One in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until the day of His return.’   2 Timothy 1:10,12 (NLT)

Risen Lord, we worship You and give thanks for the glorious Easter hope by which we have been saved – ‘raised up and seated with Him in the heavenly realms.’ Amen.

Lord our Saviour, thank You that by Your death and resurrection we are reconciled with God, receiving His total forgiveness and loving grace. Strengthen us to serve You all our days. Amen.

We give thanks that we can freely join with our Christian friends on the Walk of Witness and United Service showing how much Jesus loves us. We pray that as we share together in God’s saving grace that we may serve Him in this community in practical and loving ways

We pray for this community, from the eldest to the youngest. Help us to show love, care and concern for neighbours and friends.

We continue to remember friends and family who are in need of our prayers. We would commend you to pray for Anne and the Smith family, we continue to pray for Jan, Peggy, Clare. Please keep in your heart Val, Geoff and family and Rita and family and Pat and family. They have all lost family members recently.

Thanksgiving: for every Christian initiative to communicate the truth and grace of the gospel to children: in school assemblies, lessons and clubs, youth groups, churches, holiday clubs and mission events. Pray that many young people will understand and accept the message of Jesus. We especially ask that you pray for the work of CYO in our local schools.

Pray about the growing lack of knowledge of the Bible and the basic tenets of Christianity in our nation’s children. Ask God to help us withstand the drift in today’s society towards a secular mindset and to protect our right to share the gospel freely.

Please pray for all the trouble throughout this World. We especially think of the terrorist shooting at the supermarket in France. The terrible fire in a shopping centre in Russia killing so many children. We pray for our Prime Minister and the Government, dealing with the nerve agent poisoning in Salisbury and the Brexit negotiations.

‘For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being.’                         Job 12:10 (New Living Translation)
